Socotra Trip
A surreal island expedition to one of the most alien and untouched landscapes on Eart
MARCH 24 - MARCH 30, 2026
Why This Trip?
If you’re drawn to authentic experiences and want to connect with like-minded travelers, this trip is for you! Imagine landing on the island of Socotra, where it feels like you’ve stepped into another world—one filled with surreal landscapes that look straight out of a dream. Giant dragon’s blood trees dot the horizon, their branches twisting like something from a fantasy, and crystal-clear waters lap against white sandy beaches, untouched by mass tourism. This isn’t just any trip—this is an adventure to one of the most remote and breathtaking places on Earth!
The warmth of Socotra’s locals is unmatched, and their genuine hospitality will make you feel right at home. They’ll show us their way of life, and we’ll honor their kindness by respecting their culture and treating them like the incredible hosts they are.
What Will We Do?
- Explore the stunning Arher Beach, where we'll hike the dunes and swim in crystal blue waters.
- Discover the enchanting Detwah Lagoon, a haven of white sand beaches and turquoise waters
- Immerse yourself in the beauty of Qalansiyah Lagoon and its vibrant marine life.
- Experience the thrill of Shoab Beach, where a large pod of dolphins frolic in the azure waters.
- Venture to the remote Momi Plateau and witness the easternmost part of the island.
- Relax at the Homehill Infinity Pool, surrounded by breathtaking vistas.
- Encounter the iconic dragon blood trees at Dikisim Plateau.
- Marvel at the unique Bottle Neck Trees, a natural wonder of Socotra.
- Discover the golden sand dunes at Zaheq.
- Swim in the largest fresh water pool in Socotra- Wadi Kalisan
- Take leisurely strolls through the charming streets of Hadiboh town, immersing yourself in local culture.
Where Do We Stay?
There is no tourism infrastructure on Socotra (luckily, yet!), meaning apart from the main town, there are no hotels. This means that for 7 days, we will be camping, which in my opinion is the best way to explore Socotra. You will see what I mean after the trip.
We are close to nature, waking up for sunrises at amazing locations, and we do not impact the island. Trash in, trash out; we leave just footprints. But don’t worry, the team always takes care of the camping, so you can just show up and enjoy. We have portable toilets and many days we have showers (outdoor showers though). If not, we can swim in fresh water pools. Basically, living in nature!!

Flights
Flights All transportation during the trip is included, but you need to arrange your own way to Abu Dhabi. I recommend arriving a day before the flight to Socotra. The flight to Socotra is a direct flight from Abu Dhabi International airport. you will not find a flight online, it needs to be arranged via a travel agency, that’s why we take care of it. We just need your passport.
